Rotters by Daniel Kraus

I have just finished reading this book for the book club at my local libray and I have found it amazing. The first part is all about Joey Crouch trying to fiqure out how to live in a new city without his mother. He is forced to move to Bloughton, Iowa to live with his dad who he knows nothing about. He learns that his father is a Digger, or a grave robber, and he has to learn how to take on what his father does. His father teaches him leassons and trys to show him how the real world works. In the meantime Joey is just to fit into this small town, and his new school where the only friend he can find is another kdi who gets picked on who now hids in the shadows, Foley. His best friend Borris from his home in Chicago, has changed and is now not helping Joey at all.  He also is getting himself into trouble by talking to Celeste Carperter, who was dating Joeys' biggest bully but now is just trying to use Joey to get her dream and become a dancer. Now Joey must fiqure out how to deal with not only school but also his father. As this book gets to an end it becomes crazy, Joeys' life starts to spin out of control, and even changes, for the better?

THE SHADOW CHILDREN SERIES by Margaret Peterson Haddix

This seven book series, is breath taking, and can keep you reading until the very last book. It is a Junior fiction novel, but I read at a collage level and I loved this series. The first book starts off with Luke Garner, who is a third child, and therefore illegal, the whole series shows his and his friends journey from hiding in their houses until they are teenagers, to getting fake IDs, all the way the way to the Population Police Headquarters. With so many characters trying to change the world, and show people that even though they were born third, they still deserve to live, this series was really hard to put down. Each book ended with you wanting more, and only the next book would provide the need to keep reading and find out what is happening next. You get to see what the characters feel, and see. The third book you actually feel as if you are a third child trying to get your rights as a human along side Luke, Nina and Trey. I love this series, and hope that future generations will read this and know that even if everyone says that you don't belong or shouldn't live, I hope no one says that, but that you show everyone who you are and what you're worth.

UNWIND bu Neal Shusterman REWVIEW

I absolutly loved this book. Neal Shusterman reeled me into this book with the first chapter. I loved how each chapter was in a differnt charcters point of veiw. Neal shows how all theese childern who are all so very differnt can come together and fight for a greater cause that they all believe in. In this book Risa, Connor and Levi, all want to show the rest of the USA that UNWINDING is wrong, and that they can show that they are worth something to society in the whole state and not the divided state. Neal also lets the reader get into the mind of these three and in the minds of some people they meet along the way to the GRAVEYARD, even thought they have no clue that they are even going there. The three of them need each other in a way to survive. Connor and Risa learn that even though they come from two diffrent lifestyles they wind up falling for each other, and want to show the world as a whole, that they are worth living in the whole state. Levi, or Lev, gets separted and learns that even though he is a tith that there are other things to give to god than just yourself. He gets a new perspetive throughout this book, and ends up fighting to end UNWINDING with Connor and Risa. He also wrote a squeal to this book called UnWholly which is a most read if you like this book.
